The SOYLENT GREEN Million Minion Milestone

Ta-da! Yes, one million visits. Though I’d have gotten here eventually, the accelerated rate of achievement is due almost entirely to the snoochers who’ve sauntered over courtesy of Stacy–and wombat–who included me in their weekly Rule 5 Roundups. Thanks.

Of course my brand new cadre of Go(oglers) from around the globe–snoochers all–has also helped with the pace. Thanks to you too.

As this Extravaganza of Awesome approached, I said to myself, “Self, what does it take to achieve an Internet train wreck of this magnitude?” Basically, monster nads.

If you start with 1st day pimpage from folks like Deus Ex Machina Steamboat McGoo, Woody and Wyatt, it helps. Add some unrepentant blog whoring, and you’re on the way.

And along the way, since March ’09, SOYLENT GREEN has presented more than 1,300 posts–including more than 3,100 images and some of the 26,000 spams–still teh best, and approved nearly 11,000 comments. The best of these? Still McGoo:

I have also been blessed to have the Glorious Lemur King create art such as this–gratis–for some of the insanity that emanates from my fevered psyche, in a fashion not unlike brain cells evaporating from Henry Waxman’s assclown head…

And of course there is still the AGW Fail–like this favorite, for instance, or this classic, or this omen or the ultimate in irony. The best Fail Title isn’t mine, dammit.

I’ve been lucky enough to play a part in the destruction of this “science,” which took a major nail to the coffin lid this week. But as fun as it is to watch the Warmers invent more batshit crazy remedies and rationales for their Church of Thermageddon–and their soon-to-be-realized consequences–our alien overlords just won’t quit trying to tax us back to the dark ages, by hook or crook.

But, enough seriousness. It’s the snooch that stirs the SOYLENT pot. Even real scientists say so. Fact!

So, the real secret has been merely continuing the Tried & True Science, Snark & Snooch Modus® initially developed with the sage McGoo. Of course, if I had counted the snooch at Site Y, like this, this, this or this, I’d have claimed a million hits back in March. But that would be cheating.
